Buonanotte Italia, guten morgen Deutschland!

I have arrived in Munich after catching the sleeper train from Florence, which was certainly an experience. I spent yesterday back in Florence, after a mix-up with the train times. I hadn’t intended to spend so much time in one place in Italy, and there were plenty of places I would like to have seen, such as Verona, Venice, and Lucca. However, I’m rather glad I went back.

In the afternoon I climbed up to Piazalle Michelangelio (I think I’m spelling that correctly), where a replica of Michelangelo’s David proudly stands watch over the best view in the city.

And what a view:

When I described Florence as having beautiful vistas I never imagined anything like this. I shall miss Tuscany, and will have to revisit a some point. But for now, bring on Germany!
